Cookie preferences
Last updated: January 14, 2026. This page explains the small text files we use, why we use them, and how you can change your mind at any time.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. The next time you visit, the site can read that file and remember a few simple things — for example, that you have already chosen your cookie preferences and do not want to see the banner again.
2. Why Riseenergyflow uses cookies
We use cookies for three modest purposes: to keep the site working smoothly, to count visits in an anonymous way so we know which articles are read, and (if you allow it) to share relevant updates with you outside our site.
3. The three categories
Necessary
These cookies are always on. They keep the site running and remember the choices you made on this very page. Without them, the cookie banner would appear every time you visited, and forms would lose track of your input. You cannot turn these off, because the site simply would not work without them.
Analytics
These cookies count how many people visit each page, in an anonymous, aggregated way. They help us understand which articles deserve more time and which ideas are worth revisiting. They do not identify you personally and they do not follow you to other sites. They are off by default; you can turn them on at any time.
Marketing
These cookies are used if we ever share relevant updates — for example, a small advertisement for a new issue — on platforms outside Riseenergyflow. They allow us to show those updates to people who have already read our site. They are off by default; you can turn them on at any time.
4. How to change your choices
You can update your choices in three simple ways:
- Click the “Customize” button on the small cookie banner the next time it appears.
- Clear cookies for Riseenergyflow in your browser settings — the banner will return on your next visit.
- Write to us at hello@riseenergyflow.com and we will guide you through it.
5. How long cookies last
Most of our cookies expire automatically after at most six months. The cookie that remembers your preferences lasts longer (up to 180 days) so that the banner does not keep returning.
6. Cookies from other companies
We try to keep third-party cookies to a minimum. Where we do use them — for example, for anonymous analytics — we pick providers with clear privacy practices and we link to their own cookie notices wherever we can.
7. Browser controls
Every modern browser lets you block cookies entirely, allow them site by site, or clear them on demand. The exact path varies, but you will usually find the option under “Settings” or “Preferences” and then “Privacy” or “Security”. If you would like a hand finding it, write to us.
8. Do-Not-Track signals
Some browsers send a “do not track” signal. There is no universal standard for what a site must do with that signal, but we honour it as a polite request: when we see one, we apply our most restrictive cookie settings by default.
9. Updates to this page
We may update this notice as the site evolves. When we do, the “last updated” date at the top will change. If a change materially affects your choices, we will ask you to confirm them again the next time you visit.
10. Questions about cookies
If you have a question about how we use cookies, the kindest place to start is a short email to hello@riseenergyflow.com. We promise a human will read it.
