Privacy notice
Last updated: January 14, 2026. This notice explains what we collect, why, and how you can ask us to change or remove it. If anything here is unclear, please write to us.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
We try to collect as little personal information as we can. In practice, this means:
- Subscription form data: first name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, when you choose to subscribe to our letters.
- Contact form data: first name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message text, when you write to us.
- Technical information: basic, non-identifying data sent by your browser (for example, the type of device, the page you visited and the time).
- Cookies: small text files used to remember your cookie preferences and, if you choose to allow them, to gather aggregate analytics.
3. Why we collect it
Each piece of information has a specific, limited purpose:
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for and nothing else.
- To reply to the message you sent us.
- To understand which pages are read most so we can keep writing about what helps.
- To meet legal or accounting obligations where they apply.
4. How long we keep it
We keep subscription data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove your record within thirty days, except where we are required to keep a minimal record for our own accounting. Contact form messages are kept for up to two years, after which they are deleted unless an ongoing conversation requires otherwise.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. The categories are: Necessary (always on, used to remember your cookie choices and to load the site), Analytics (optional, used to count visits in an anonymous way), and Marketing (optional, used if we ever share relevant updates outside our own site). You can update your choices at any time from the Cookie Preferences page or the small banner that appears on your first visit.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We do work with a small number of trusted service providers who help us send our newsletter, host the site and process technical logs. These providers act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes.
7. Where data is stored
Our hosting and email tools are operated by reputable providers based primarily in Canada, the United States and the European Union. Where data crosses borders, we choose partners who apply recognised data-protection standards.
8. Your rights
You can, at any time and free of charge:
- Ask us what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your record.
- Withdraw consent to receive our letters by clicking “unsubscribe” or writing to us.
- Object to certain kinds of processing.

9. Children
Riseenergyflow is written for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a minor has signed up to our letters, please write to us and we will remove the record.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site and rely on our service providers for industry-standard storage protections. No system is perfect; we take any concern seriously and will investigate any reported incident promptly.
11. Links to other sites
We occasionally link to other websites. Once you leave Riseenergyflow, the privacy practices of that other site apply, not ours. We encourage you to read their notices before sharing anything.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this page as the site evolves. When we do, the “last updated” date at the top will change. Significant changes will be flagged at the top of the site for at least two weeks.
13. How to complain
If you feel we have not handled your data well, we would much prefer that you tell us first — we will do our best to fix it. You also have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.
